Trust & accuracy
Listing policy
How free listings, claims, corrections, inquiries, and featured placements work on Find It America.
Effective August 30, 2026
Free listings
Eligible local businesses may receive a free searchable profile. A business does not need to purchase marketing services or featured placement to remain listed or claim its listing.
Unclaimed listings
We may create neutral business summaries from public, submitted, licensed, or community-recognition sources. “Unclaimed” means the business has not yet completed our verification process. It does not mean the business approved the listing.
Claim verification
Claims are reviewed manually. We may verify a requester through a business-domain email, website, public profile, phone conversation, ownership document, or another reasonable method. Verification helps prevent unauthorized changes.
Corrections and removal
Business owners and the public may report inaccurate information through the contact form. We may correct, merge, pause, or remove listings that are closed, outside the covered market, unlawful, duplicative, misleading, or unverifiable.
Featured placement
Featured listings are clearly labeled and receive added visibility based on the selected plan. Payment does not change the underlying accuracy standards and is not an endorsement, certification, or ranking of service quality.
Reviews and rankings
The current directory does not publish consumer star ratings. Category and city results may consider featured tier, claimed status, relevance, and directory organization. We may refine ordering as the directory grows.
Business responsibility
Listed businesses are responsible for their services, credentials, claims, pricing, customer communication, and legal compliance. Users should independently verify important details before a transaction.
