Your information
Privacy policy
How Find It America handles business information, account requests, inquiries, and directory activity.
Effective August 30, 2026
Information we collect
We collect information you provide through listing submissions, claim requests, featured-placement requests, contact forms, consumer inquiries, and email signups. This may include names, business details, email addresses, phone numbers, websites, and messages.
We also record limited first-party directory activity, such as page views and clicks on listing phone, website, map, claim, and inquiry actions. We do not use this activity log to build personal advertising profiles.
How we use information
We use information to operate and improve the directory, verify business claims, correct listings, respond to requests, deliver requested inquiries, measure listing performance, prevent misuse, and offer relevant directory or digital-marketing services to businesses that request or discuss them.
Business listing information
Business names, categories, cities, descriptions, phone numbers, websites, and other business-facing details may appear publicly. Unclaimed listings may be created from public or licensed sources. Business owners can request corrections or claim their listing.
Sharing
We may share a consumer inquiry with the business the consumer selected so the request can be fulfilled. We may use service providers that host or support the directory. We do not sell personal information for money. We may disclose information when required by law or needed to protect users and the service.
Retention and security
We retain information as reasonably needed for directory operations, verification, recordkeeping, and legal obligations. No online system can guarantee absolute security, but access to administrative records is restricted.
Email choices
Directory and promotional emails include an opt-out method when required. Transactional messages related to a claim, inquiry, submission, or billing request may still be sent as needed to complete that request.
California privacy requests
California residents may request access, correction, or deletion of applicable personal information, subject to legal exceptions. Submit a request through our contact form and select “Privacy request.” We may need to verify the requester’s identity.
Policy changes
We may update this policy as the directory grows. The effective date above identifies the current version.
